William F Morris
President and Founder
Bill is the founder of W Morris Architects LTD. Bill graduated from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo in 1970. He started his own architecture company in Nevada in 1974 and then expanded to California in 2002 and Shanghai China in 2006. Bill has over 35 years of experience as principal architect and project director over a vast array of successful projects, primarily in the gamming and hospitality industry. Bill understands that projects must be not only creative and innovative, they must be buildable - on time and within budget, and they must be functional and profitable. Bill has traveled extensively as architect, participant, consultant and student to enhance his expertise in all design fields. Bill's architectural and interior design knowledge and understanding of the hospitality and gaming industry are unequaled. He handles all of his projects from the very large, complex, to the small and intimate with the same care and enthusiasm.
Kathleen Perrino
Vice President
With a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University and Architectural registrations in both California and Nevada, Kathy has over 20 years of experience with Casino and Hospitality Architecture. Prior to joining WMA she participated in many of the projects that make Las Vegas what it is today: the Mirage, Treasure Island and Bellagio as well as the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS while employed by Atlandia Design / Mirage Resorts. Here she gained invaluable experience working with Cirque du Soleil theaters, brew pub venues, volcanos, dolphins, pirates and giant fish tanks. She continued her hospitality experience with Morris and Brown and W Morris Architects including many Native American Casino / Hotel projects such as the Rolling Hills Casino, Silver Reef Casino and Hotel, The Three Rivers Casino and Hotel and The Barona Casino and Hotel.
Lesley Steel
Senior Designer
Lesley graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Interdisciplinary Degree in Interior Design from the University of Nevada Reno and is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications. She has been designing in the hospitality industry since 1996, working for leading architectural-interior design firms that renovate and build hotel/ resorts & casinos. Lesley started her career when she joined the design team of Bill Morris (MBA) to help in the completion of Kansas City Station Hotel & Casino and also participated in projects for Casino America and the steakhouse at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino. With ambition to diversify and expand her design experience she moved on to work for other notable design firms in the industry including KMA designs, Vermillion Interiors, and the Paul Steelman Design Group. Her interior design experience in hospitality projects include hotels (rooms/ public spaces), casino's (gaming areas, bars, & BOH areas), restaurants, night club/ live venues, spas, retail, and even a state museum. Lesley went full circle when Bill Morris (WMA) welcomed her back in 2006 as a Senior Designer to work on the Barona Hotel & Casino. Her design talents prevail with detailed attention to function, client needs, desired styles, clarity in contract documentation, and always a willingness to go the extra mile in order to obtain a successful and dynamic project.
